COUNSELING AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR YOUTH
THAT'S A WRAP!
Thank you for joining us at the SASCC Health Fair 2022!

Despite an unexpected windstorm tossing canopies and resources all over the Los Gatos High School lawn, everyone hunkered down and found solutions, from taking canopies down, to finding rocks to hold things in place, to smiling at each other and laughing amidst the chaos. It was symbolic of the reason we were all there: to support one another through our challenges.
A few of many highlights:
-
Seeing folks of all ages actively getting the resources & help they came in search of
-
The networking and new partnerships that happened between service providers
-
Enlightening words shared by our guest speakers, like County Supervisor Joe Simitian, West Valley-Mission Community College Chancellor Brad Davis, and Los Gatos City Councilmember Matthew Hudes
-
FOUR animals were adopted by attendees thanks to County of Santa Clara Animal Shelter's presence at the fair
-
And of course... Watching folks get splashed in that DUNK TANK!
One major takeaway from the fair was that while some aspects of Mental Health can be grim, the way we talk about and approach solutions can be light and fun. Part of Stopping The Stigma is making the topic of mental health less intense, more approachable. That's exactly what the SASCC Health Fair 2022 did, and we look forward to seeing that continue in society.
Thank you to CASSY - Counseling and Support Services for Youth, KCAT TV 15, and Los Gatos High School for your partnership in this event; we could not have done it without you!
Cheers to Mental Health for All Ages!
SASCC HEALTH FAIR 2022 EVENT INFO
Held in partnership between SASCC (Saratoga Area Senior Coordinating Council) and CASSY (Counseling and Support Services for Youth), the SASCC Health Fair 2022 intends to raise awareness around the parallels in mental health experienced across generations, de-stigmatize mental health, and create opportunities for healing after one of the most challenging periods in history.
Through workshops, on-site counseling, resource tables, and Age-Friendly activities, this event will offer a space where people can gain tools to support their mental health, feel seen and heard, have fun, and leave feeling renewed and hopeful for the future.
